Gray vs Black
Paul Smith scored twice to lead Black to a 3-0 shutout over Orange. Black's defense was sharp all night, blocking 12 shots in total, with Tobin Farwell leading the way with five. The game featured plenty of stoppages, including 13 icings, while Jared Scerbinski controlled the faceoff circle, going 12-3 on draws. Between the pipes, Ed Gontarz was perfect, stopping all 17 shots he faced to secure the shutout.
Blue vs White
After two scoreless periods, White finally cracked the code midway through the third when Ryan Baer found the back of the net, sparking a 2-0 win over Blue. Sub goalie Matt Cormier was flawless for White, turning aside all 15 shots he faced, while Chris Duplouy kept Blue in it with 17 saves of his own. Shot blocking dominated the night, with both teams combining for 23 blocks, led by Ollie Fisher with five for Blue and Janice Newton adding four for White. At the dot, Rob Horton controlled play, winning 10 of 14 faceoffs.
Red vs Gold
Red struck once in the second period and added another in the third, riding a 15 save performance from Katie Brower to a 2-0 win over Gold.
Red owned the face-off circle, with Mike Sinkewich going 10-3 and Kevin Manning posting a strong 16-7 mark on draws. Gold stayed disciplined defensively, going 3-for-3 on the penalty kill, and Ryan Gionet made 20 saves on 22 shots. Dave Gnall chipped in with 4 blocks for Red.
Purple vs Green
Bear Kirkpatrick had four points, including a hat trick, and Kevin Dalton added two goals as a shorthanded Purple squad beat a shorthanded Green team, 6-2. Green was paced offensively by Dennis Pelletier, who scored twice, while TJ Wright was dominant at the face-off dot, winning 19 draws.
